Congress just passed a resolution changing daylight savings time. Write you congressmen and senators and say NO! I’m not sure why I’m so against this, but I’m just tired of congress making more stupid changes.

Suggestions for Driving
After driving a lot in the past week, I have decided that the world needs much help driving. And I will gladly advise it on ways to get better!
1) Add sensors to all traffic lights.
Have you sat at traffic lights for ages waiting for that elusive green light? And best of all, there were no cars coming in the other direction? Solve that with the use of sensors…cars from one direction and not the other = green light!
2) Hire some Google engineers to fix the traffic light algorithms.
Yes, I realize they work fairly well; but I’m sure the genius of Google would make it work better.
3) Remove most of the “Green on arrow only” left turns.
If you’re too stupid to not turn in front of another car, you deserve to get hit (and hurt). Don’t make the rest of us wait because of your stupidity.
4) Don’t jump to the right lane before a traffic signal.
Remember that time when you were turning right? As you approached, the light turned red and the lane was open. You had an open red-light turn…except for that car that switched into your lane at the last second. Then you get to sit behind them for the duration of the light.
5) Don’t leave your blinker on after you’ve changed lanes.
I think there should be an explosive noise in your car after twenty seconds of blinker action. Period. People still don’t know what you’re going to do (and likely you don’t either if your blinker is still on).
6) Don’t drive in the left lane slowly.
It happened so many times today. That driver is talking on their cell-phone, oblivious to the world and the sixteen cars tailgating them. If every driver like this would mysteriously disappear, the world would be a much better place!
7) Don’t pass and then slow down.
I don’t like to slow down. Don’t get in front of me and make me hit my brakes. Keep your passing speed for a while, and don’t make me slow down ![]()
Don’t speed up when someone is passing you.
Another bad habit of people. “Oops, I’m being passed. I should speed up now!” So instead of passing at 75, I now have to speed up to 85 to get around the car. And as soon as I pass — they return to their normal speed. This is particularly bad on two-way highways.
9) Pick a speed.
Don’t speed up and slow down and speed up and slow down. Pick a speed on the highway and don’t play hopscotch with other cars.
10) Pay attention.
Don’t play with your kids. Don’t text message people. Don’t swerve in and out. There’s nothing worse than a driver that doesn’t pay attention.
These ten things will make the world a better place!
Make Up Your Mind
I love it when the sky turns dark and the clouds begin to thunder. The thunderstorm is a great thing, and soon it will be thundering and pouring rain…right?
Not so today. It thundered; the sky grew dark; but that was it. It was like a sneeze that dies in your nose. So much excitement that is never realized.
